Organizing Cricket World Cup

Cricket is a very popular game all over the world. Every year, many tournaments are organized among different teams at different locations around the world. ICC Cricket world cup is the highest form of championship in one day cricket, and it is held once every 4 years. All test playing teams and qualifying teams compete against one another to gain global superiority.

Apart from entertainment, this event also serves to foster good will and better relationship among the teams, bring huge economical benefits to the nation where it is being held, and also churn out huge revenue for the organizers. The purpose of this project is to depict the activities involved in organizing a world cup.

The cricket world cup is scheduled once every four years, but the preparations start well in advance. ICC i.e. International Cricket Council, which foresees all of the activities in cricket, selects a country to host this tournament after taking the political and economical issues in to consideration. Normally, president of a country or a very famous dignitary officially starts off the event. This tournament lasts for about 2 months, during which various teams from all over the world participate and play in it. Event organizers assign various teams to take care of the venues, player security, media interaction etc. Millions of viewers all over the world enjoy watching the games. Once the final match is played, there will be a winning team, which gets to keep the world cup for the next 4 years. Figure 1 shows the best results in the ICC Criket World Cup.
